  • We have bowed to the inevitable and engaged a professional to rebuild the website in a more modern manner, with a closed Members' Area and in particular including the facility of payment of membership subs by Paypal. This plan has been proceeding rather slowly, although it is still moving forwards.

  • Roadrunner - the journal of the RRC

    Roadrunner is the journal of the RRC and is published 3 times a year with a good range of interesting articles on various aspects of running. Some recent articles from our journal, updated to edition 193, Winter 2010, can be read at this page.

  • The John Jewell Film Archive - some clips now available

    The late John Lewell, an ex-President of the RRC, has given a very generous bequest to the RRC, and one of the major things it is being used for is the digitisation of his large collection of films, which is currently kept at the athletics archive in Birmingham University. There are 53 8mm reels, with a wealth of records of road and track running, from the 1950 Commonwealth Games right into the 1990s. The digitising process has now been completed, and a selection of the films are being made viewable on this website.

    • We are now working our way through posting clips of London to Brighton Races, and have posted 1952 (the very first race) through 1955. The rest will be posted in batches, and we hope to be able to add commentaries at a later date.

  • The RRC Championships

  • The results of the last of this year's Championships are published in the latest edition of Roadrunner, together with details of the scheme that is going to replace the sub-ultra Championships in 2011. Entries to the 2011 Championships will be published as they are received in the Members' area.

  • The RRC Constitution

    The affairs of the Club are controlled by its constitution, which can be downloaded in PDF format by clicking here.

    • Members' pages

    A new section, intended for existing RRC members. We will introduce a password-protected system soon so that only our members can access this area. A bit thin on content but keep coming back, as it will develop over the next few months.
